Grrribbit!

More toilet paper roll animals from our tp menagerie.

These frogs are not only fun to make but they can provide hours of fun because they are also a toy.

After a proper amount of practice, you can
catch the fly in the large, gaping mouth.

I'm pretty sure I saw a version of them somewhere on Pinterest but try as I might, I cannot find the link.
If someone can provide me with a link, I will gladly add it here.

  4. What did you make the fly out of so that it is heavy enough to get it to work?

    1. The fly is made of two identical pieces of cardboard -cut out in the shape of a fly- glued together, sandwiching the string. The cardboard is deliberately the heavy kind so that the fly turns out heavy enough for the toy to work.
If there's no heavy cardboard available, an idea would be to sandwich a little coin -or something else with a bit of weight to it- to make the fly heavy enough to be able to fly and drop to be caught by the frog's gaping mouth.

    1. Hi Gauri! The truth is, there's been a lot of interest in these little fellows. They are great fun to make and hours of fun to play with.
I'll try and make a diy tutorial for it and share it.

    1. A button is a great idea, Istina!
If it's a heavy button it will work great and if the buttons you have available aren't heavy enough, putting 2 of them together would do the trick!
